The Edamame, Cancer correlation
November 12, 2009
Recently, while going over the latest headlines on one of the biggest networks. I stumbled upon a headline that left me with a dumbfounded smirk on my face. After researching recently the history of the worlds largest agricultural manipulative companies history. The title,
Healthwatch: Soy Products and Cancer
Once Thought Of As Superfood That Helped Prevent The Disease Is Now Thought Of As Helping Increase The Risk
Thanks to the local CBS 2 HD. headline. I am now beginning to understand why we are such an uninformed public. Most times we citizens learn of the risks and side effects of additives in food and ingestibles(medicines, pharmaceuticals, edibles, etc). It is no wonder that since 1998 over 71 percent of the worlds genetically engineered crops were treated with herbicides.
When the studies were released back in the late 1990′s stating the risks of using the glyphosates as plant growth hormones linking them to non Hodgkin’s lymphoma( a form of cancer). Let us fast forward to November 11, 2009. We are now being informed by the mass media of the risks of these genetically altered cash crops over ten years after the studies have concluded that such additives put the consumers of these products at risk.
“The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) statistics from 1997
show that expanded plantings of Roundup Ready soybeans (i.e. soybeans
genetically engineered to be tolerant to the herbicide) resulted in a 72%
increase in the use of glyphosate. According to the Pesticides Action
Network, scientists estimate that plants genetically engineered to be
herbicide resistant will actually triple the amount of herbicides used.
Farmers, knowing that their crop can tolerate or resist being killed off
by the herbicides, will tend to use them more liberally.”
Once these studies have concluded and were made public. Why was the culprit allowed to continue to manufacture these carcinogenic legumes? We will delve further into the connection of the FDA and Monsanto, the company responsible for bringing products to the world such as Round up Ready Soybean and Saccharin.

In this blog I will try to make logic of the articles that we view on a daily basis. What is important and what is just nonsense on a global basis… I would like to open the posts for discussion…
